How to stop myself from vomiting while on Tylenol Codeine? Please help!?

I just had surgery last week and now that the numbness fromthe anesthesia is wearing off I have been having alot of pain so I took a codeine problem is I feel nauseous. I believe this is a side effect and I really, really want to vomit. How to stop myself from vomiting?
