What could cause severe pain and numbness in my arms and hands?

for about the past 3 weeks i have had SEVERE pain and numbness in both of my arms and hands. my fingertips are numb and my arms feel almost like they are asleep. the pain wakes me up at night several times and seems worse in the mornings. its hard for me to hold a cup of coffee or do my hair and make up in the mornings. i recently started a new job, but it doesnt feel like muscle pain and if it was, id think after 3 weeks it would ease up a little, but its just getting worse and im bruising alot. feels like im not getting blood flow or something. please help me figure out whats going on. this is very painfull!
