What happens to Ventus (Kingdom Hearts)?

First of all, I've never been a fan of KH but I finally played Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and I loved it! I haven't fully ended it yet but I read that Ventus falls into a deep sleep. Bummer, I liked Ventus. What I want to know is, Does he ever wake up again? It would be stupid if he didn't. I know he lives in Sora's heart but does he get his body back and be alive again?
