After effect of epidural?

In 2009 I was in labor with my first child and I was givin epidural to give birth to her...I notice that on tv that when doctors inject epidural on women they sit them down and inject it on thier back...well not for me it appeared...I was lying on my side in bed when they did it to me...I always wondered why?? anywho...I been having numbness on my left leg..it almost feels like when i touch it that someone running a knife thought it...and sometimes I get prickles on my hands and have back pain...or sometimes when i bend down to long i get the worse cramps on my feet...Is this something i should sue for??? did they inject the epidual wrong that its now giving me pain after birth of my baby...
