What are some good dark fantasy novels for an older teen?

I really love the Garth Nix novel "Sabriel". It is about a teenage girl who is a necromancer and must use her ability to overcome great obstacles along her life's journey. It is one of my favorite dark fantasy novels. I also really love the Phillip Pullman trilogy "His Dark Materials". "The Golden Compass" is the first book in the series and if you saw the movie, don't worry, they missed every great detail that made this book so amazing. It is much heavier and compelling than Hollywood would have you believe. I hope those suggestions help.
