What is the name of this fantasy movie?

I saw it about ten years ago, can't remember much except: it started in New York, girl and her father, something to do with getting wishes granted? Then a werewolf (?) chased her into another world... I remember there being a recurring theme of broken mirror causing bad luck. Also, at one point the girl was competing in a singing milkmaid (?) competition, which she won by singing Queen. I know this is vague, but does it ring any bells?
